Up on the Gold Cast

Hello all, I am sorry for the lack of updates, but my computer has died. I just dropped it off at the Apple store two days ago though and hopefully they can fix it soon. Oh well though, its out of my hands, nothing I can really do about it. Kind of wish I had it though so I could work on my Japanese and use Skype. Hopefully I will get it back soon. Anyway, I am now up on the Gold Coast. It is so amazing up here, very similar to Hawaii climate wise. The water is much warmer than it was down on the Central Coast as well. We took this jet ski to this little beach break yesterday and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I wished I has had my camera, but it would have gotten ruined I thought. The sand was so white and the water was literally as clear as class. The beach had to have stretched for miles as well and was backed by what looked like a tropical rain forest. It was one of the first times surfing that I wasn't really threatened by sharks, because I am pretty sure if one was coming for me I would have been able see it coming from miles away. The waves were only about waist to chest high, but it might have been one of the funnest surfs I have had in a long time. The Last week in central coast we got some really fun waves. Surfed some dredging barrels and thought for sure I was going to break my boards. The last week down there overall way super cruisy. Just kinda surfed a hung around. I am becoming quite the leisure enthusiast. But not a lazy one. I have been conjuring up a few business ideas, there are definitely a few to take hold of in Australia. It was kind of weird not having the Family around for Easter. I missed them all, but I got to chat with my Grandma and Fam for a little bit on Skype the next day, which was actually their (or you guys') Easter. It seems like this was the first Easter in a long time I haven't spent in Hawaii. It's funny, I miss Hawaii a lot more than California. I find myself talking about Hawaii with people a lot more than California. Not claiming on it or being from there or anything, just loving it there and how great and pretty it is. I think that is why I am so fond of the Gold Coast. I happened to accidently miss my flight up here due to some specialness on my behalf, I was going to cancel it anyways, but it was actually the day before I called to cancel it. No real harm done, I didn't really loose any money. It would have cost me about the cost of the ticket to cancel it. As I already mentioned, we were planning on driving up here, and it was a pretty cool drive, from what I saw when I was awake. I tried to stay awake as long as I could, but cars just make me sleepy. But from what I saw, there was some really nice scenery. We had planned on surfing a couple breaks along the way, but there was absolutely no surf anywhere on the way up. But it was still very pretty. We stopped for a little bit in Byron Bay to check that out. There was a lot of hippies, still very pretty though. I am now staying with a friend of mine Josh and his girlfriend Libby. It's also cool being up here seeing a lot of friends I haven't seen in a long time. Every one I have met so far too has been super cool and friendly. All the friends of friends are super welcoming and fun. I've been getting back into gold staying with Josh as well, got super into the Masters. A few of the courses around here are super casual as well, $15 or so for 9 holes. And you can play in just shorts and t shirt. I am waiting for my invite to the next Masters now. I had a funny little competition with a friend of mine Wade Ziems, who I hadn't seen in years, and we battled it out for last place. I pulled through in the end, winning by 2 strokes. We pretty much tied 4 holes in a row. It was super funny and I had a blast though. And now I keep wanting to play more golf. I am sure we will play as much as possible, Josh is super into it. Anyway, hope you enjoy the little update. I don't know when I will get my computer back but I will hopefully be able to upload some pictures for you guys at some point. I will try to update again soon, and with more stories. Adios.
