Oh Traveling.
Well I am about to depart from London soon and about to embark on my journey to Sweden. Little bit of the kink in the plans though, my ATM debit card was eaten by an ATM last night in London and then the bank "destroyed it." I laughed when they told me that but oh well. I called and cancelled it last night and am working on getting it all sorted. But minor stuff really. Just a small bump in an otherwise great night out again. Luckily I went out with some Spanish people who, while this happened, helped me in every way. The guy, Daniel, actually called the cops for help and I was laughing. The cop was kind of just perplexed as to why we called him over for this. And his solution was to bang on the screen with his hands. I just kind of looked at him like, alright buddy. But it was a funny situation. Anyway, excited for Sweden. My Eurorail pass should be there the day after I get there as well so that will make my traveling around Europe so much easier and cheaper. Lets just hope I get the full 3 months out of it. I am blown away by how expensive Europe is; when I check the exchange rates in the morning I cringe and tell myself no partying today. Needless to say I am always able to convince myself to party and always end up making the right decisions. I am in love with traveling, and am really appreciating the changes that traveling has brought on me. I mean, I have not completely changed, but small things I notice about myself have changed. I am so excited to see Sweden and all of Scandinavia for that matter. And not just for the womens. Maybe a little bit, but not 100%. I am also excited for the Swedish meat balls, and the music. Some of my favorite bands are from there. It will be trippy too, because I think it is this time of year where it never really ever gets dark out. Opposite of the winter time there where its dark almost all day. I also heard from Brian (my brother), that Norway was pretty sweet. Hopefully from there I can also shoot over to Iceland. I am going to work on that when I get there. I am more interested in those norther countries than the rest of Europe truthfully. But I hear the south of France is a must, as well as Italy. Spain also, the Spanish people I have met have been so nice. Very enjoyable people. I am still not fully out of my Japan mode. It is a trip to go from seeing Asians everywhere to only seeing like one or two a day. And when they speak with a British accent it throws me all off. I think the coolest people are the Black or African people that speak with a British accent. They all dress very well and have a very cool swagger about them. The people from Kingston though, I cannot understand a word they say. They speak like a Jamaican mix with a British accent. Its incredible. I can understand them just as much as the Irish. I am pretty sure I understand the Japanese way better than the Irish. I could probably understand Vietnamese better than Irish. I would catch myself with the most distressed look on my face when they would talk to me and I would be trying to figure out what they were saying. I was have to consciously relax my face from getting weird while they spoke. Anyway, must be going. Don't want to be stuck in London and miss my flight to Sweeeeden. Much love.
